The anatomy of our label
1 — PRODUCT SPECIFIC SEALS
These Seals are required on the front or back of package.
Cosmos requires the exact % of natural and % organic to be listed on the back.
USDA does not require % listed as the seal indicates the product is a minimum of 95% organic.
2 — BRAND SPECIFIC SEALS
Leaping Bunny & Green E Certified
Entire brand is certified and seal is NOT needed on packaging.
3 — 100% TRANSPARENCY
We disclose every ingredient and % natural, plant-based and organic on every label.
4 — INGREDIENT PARAGRAPH
Ingredients are listed from highest (most active) to lowest level down to 1% per the global INCI (International Cosmetic Ingredient Standard). Ingredients below 1% may be arranged in any order. Generally, preservatives and fragrance allergens are lower than 1% and are listed last.
5 — SPECIALIZED DENOTATIONS
Small numbers following ingredients clarify details that are not allowed to be in the ingredient paragraph such as... Certified organic, and Active aromas.
6 — AROMA DETAILS
We disclose ALL aroma ingredients. Many brands just list "fragrance" or "aroma" as it is considered a trade secret.
7A — RECYCLED PACKAGING CONTENT
Look here for the % of recycled material.
7B — RECYCLABILITY
Note that recyclability of the package varies by municipality.
8 — PERIOD AFTER OPENING (PAO)
General life of product after opening if in normal controlled temperature conditions. May be reduced if left in extreme temperatures i.e. hot sun etc.
