In general, there is a lot more focus on health, wellness and mindfulness. Same goes with hair: caring about it and understanding that how you treat it directly affects how it will look now and in the future. There is a distinct “comfort-in-fashion” movement — Y-3, Chanel sneakers, Lululemon’s spin-off Kite and Ace — focusing on comfort, function and style. This translates into quick effortless hair styles slicked back with gel for dual textures, and loose curls.
I was fascinated by the simplicity of the hair looks starting with the SAG awards and continuing up to the Academy Awards. The lazy curl was in full effect. It looks great and is so easy to do, especially on second day hair. Of course, there’s also the LOB (long bob) and a lot of experimenting with how to make it ownable.
