Moisture: what’s right for me?

The last step in your skin regimen can often be the most important. Applying a moisturizer creates a barrier to lock in regimen nutrients while balancing skin oils and hydration.

…How do you choose? We’ll help.

“Restorative

Softens. Replenishes. Oh-so-supple skin awaits. This deceptively light daily moisturizer provides the right level of hydration, antioxidants and serious emollients. Apricot kernel and safflower oils work to deeply nourish and rebuild the skin barrier, yet won’t leave skin looking or feeling greasy. It’s an enigma, really, and great if oiliness is a concern.

TIP: AMAZING for dry winter conditions. Apply extra to spot-treat dry/chapped areas - it all sinks in within minutes.

“Revitalizing

Visibly diffuses lines. Awakens. More than a moisturizer. This intensely-hydrating surge is packed with actives to help firm and visibly diffuse fine lines while evening tone. This plush cream is for those who are serious about moisture and age, and boasts a ridiculous 6000% increase in moisture within 4 weeks*.

TIP: Twice daily use helps to diffuse visible fine lines and wrinkles in quick-to-show-aging areas such as the forehead, nose, and mouth areas.

“Renewing

Recover. Revive. Is it a serum? Is it a moisturizer? It’s multitasking GREEN GOLD and an instant addiction. Dry skin drinks it in. Oily skin finds clean balance. Dull skin lights up. Redness fades. Deep moisture in winter yet light in summer, it perfectly aligns with the body’s sebum. Feel skin awaken, cell by cell.

TIP: Add the glow you didn’t know was missing. Apply last in your regimen as moisturizer, or before an additional moisturizing creme.

Five Questions for Nicole Rechelbacher, IN Co-Owner

We caught up with our fearless leader & daughter of Horst Rechelbacher, founder of Intelligent Nutrients and Aveda.

Q: How was your childhood different from others?
A: How wasn’t it? My friends thought my dad looked like John Lennon. He was flying all over the world, cooking clove shampoo in our sink, inviting Tibetan monks and Native elders over, and telling us to eat organic instead of OREOS. We didn’t have a picket fence, we had a mandala.

Q: How did growing with an entrepreneur change your worldview?
A: Creativity was a way of life for us—but so was hustle. I was cutting hair in high school. I was schlepping to shows and assisting him onstage. I was doing makeup backstage at hair shows and photo shoots. All while my friends were working jobs as lifeguards or retail.

Dad was never impressed by who people said they were. He was impressed by what you did. And that instilled a big work ethic in me.
