The Research and Development function at Intelligent Nutrients® is involved in a process of discovery inspired by traditional remedies and guided by modern global science. This process of discovery includes developing amazing foods, nutraceuticals and aromas with Intelligent Nutrients’ founder, Horst M. Rechelbacher, using essential oils, organic herbs and plant extracts. The department has four food chemists with doctoral degrees working with a capable R&D staff, world-renowned outside laboratories, and Intelligent Nutrients’ Medical Advisory Board to produce safe, high performing, environmentally sound new products. The department is excited about the possibilities of impacting Intelligent Nutrients’ customers’ personal environments, both internally and externally, in a very positive way. In addition to having been successful in producing many organic food and supplement products with functional benefits, the department is currently developing a new line of personal care products made from safe, non-toxic, food-based ingredients.
The Research and Development department reaches out to Intelligent Nutrients customers and retailers with a monthly focus article in the Intelligent Nutrients e-letter. These articles contain important health and nutrition-related information, and practical tips on how to apply this information in daily life.

William L. (Bill) Bennet, Intelligent Nutrients’ Director of R&D and Quality Assurance, has over 15 years experience in the organic food industry. He has worked with such well-known companies as Green Giant, Pillsbury, and Schwan’s Bakery Group. He has co-authored 3 books with FDA and food industry experts on quality design and conformance, with an emphasis on food safety through HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) implementation. Mr. Bennet is a trainer in standards for Food, Drug, and Cosmetic GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices) and in auditing for regulatory compliance.
